For me social distancing has been not that bad. I have two brothers, so I have lots of human interaction daily. I do miss seeing my friends, and being in social learning environments. I still get out of the house by going driving by myself. I usually like to drive round in Santa Cruz and go up Highway 1. Lately, I have been exploring way up in the Santa Cruz Mountains. This helps me because I go to one lane roads where nobody else is around. It is so quiet and peaceful. I love stopping at a turnout and sitting for a while. I feel like this is a great way to social distance. I am all alone in my truck and the mountain roads. I do miss being able to learn with my friends. The one nice thing about home schooling is the time frame you have to get things done. It offers more flexibility when completing assignments.
One of the toughest things for me during social distancing is having all the fun stores and amusements shutdown. I miss going to the boardwalk and having all the stores open to go buy stuff. It is sad when I think about how the virus is effecting different people. Some people have lost family members because of it, while others are struggling due to unemployment. It is very sad how badly COVID is effecting peoples health and our economy.
